In 2 Chronicles 6 and 7 we read of the Old Testament equivalent of the day of Pentecost and we see glory and fire in the temple of God. This is the context for one of the most well known Scriptures on praying for revival, 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land"
