John chapter 10 pivots on the two greatest commandments and what is required to gain eternal life. In the first two sections of the chapter there seems to be a focus on the importance of loving our neighbour through service, ministry and compassion. The final short story in the chapter is all about Mary and Martha. In this Scripture Jesus makes it clear that only one thing is necessary.
